One flow for AIs to pick a window, truer Notion workspace names

  • ImprovedAn AI now picks a new window in one flow: an idle window on an account with room first, else a new window on the account with the most room, and it takes a role only once AkiMCP answers there. A successor and a subtask use the same steps.
  • ImprovedRestore windows says in its log when a window came back with another size or place than asked, with the side and the number.
  • FixedA usage refresh for Claude, GPT or Grok shows once in the panel, not twice.

First steps that show what is done, AkiMCP starts with AIObox, handoffs never stop at a profile limit

  • NewThe Start page opens with three first steps, Add a profile, Sign in to an AI provider and Connect your AI agent, each marked Done from what AIObox already knows, and names the next thing left to do. Tips for the panel, window handles, the AI guide, Prompts, Tunnels, reopening windows and migration, and shortcuts follow, then the release notes.
  • NewAkiMCP starts when AIObox opens, and starts again if it ends by surprise. Untick it on the AkiMCP page to start it only by hand.
  • ImprovedThe AIO Loop lines in the panel say what happens, such as Answers that name no next step go to P10·W30, and the state line is never cut.
  • ImprovedNotion Make ready adds AkiMCP to the workspace directly, so a handoff no longer waits on a sign-in popup.
  • ImprovedConnect AkiMCP for Notion turns custom MCP servers on in a workspace you own, then adds AkiMCP.

Start AkiMCP from AIObox, hands-free handoff when quota runs out, Muse

  • NewStart and stop AkiMCP with one button on the AkiMCP page, with no terminal. AIObox shows whether it is stopped, starting, running or running outside AIObox, shows its log when it fails, opens its panel in a window, and stops it when AIObox quits.
  • NewA chat whose account runs out of usage, or whose answers get cut off, hands its work to another account by itself. The new chat gets the old chat's handoff letter or its last 10 messages, and the handoff shows on both windows with Stop, Retry and Close.
  • NewKeep a profile out of handoffs with one checkbox on its page, and let your AI rest an account or a workspace for some hours: its windows move to another account at once.
  • NewMuse and Claude windows can be read and messaged by your AI. Muse also shows its account and usage.
  • NewYour AI reads any tab of a profile by its handle, not only the pages of an AI provider.
  • NewThe AIO Loop button keeps a chat going on its own, and a chat that needs you says so in the Inbox.
  • NewRelease notes inside the app: the Start page lists every version, with the one you run marked.
  • NewMacros show their report in the AIOBox Panel: a wide area with rows and buttons, which your AI can press too.
  • NewNotion: the panel says whether AkiMCP is ready in the workspace of this tab, with the one thing to do next. A new macro, Model policy, lists each workspace's allowed AI models and its AkiMCP state.
  • NewFor AI agents: one request opens a window, opens a link in your browser, closes a window even when it hangs, or moves a Notion window to another workspace. A refused request says why.
  • NewA new official prompt on the Prompts page, Before asking the user: it tells an AI to settle a question itself before it asks you.
  • NewStart page: a One profile, one email note, always shown.
  • ImprovedSigning a profile in from your browser is one Sync dialog that names the browser and shows both sides.
  • ImprovedConnect AkiMCP for Notion works with Notion's new Connections screen, offers Make ready, All workspaces and Sign in on screen, has a Stop button, and ends on Skip all approvals.

Window names that last, chat handoff and Widen for more providers

  • NewA window handle such as P3·W2 is now the window's lasting name: it is never given twice, new windows carry on numbering after Chrome restarts, and Restore windows gives every reopened window the handle it had.
  • NewChat handoff for AI agents: when an AI moves its work to a fresh chat, the new window takes the old one's place and size, the old window closes itself, and a message sent to the old handle reaches the new window. A window never closes while it answers or holds a draft.
  • NewWiden for Notion AI chat, ChatGPT and Grok: the chat and its message box use the window's full width.
  • ImprovedThe AI guide that ships with the app: a message goes out right away, even while the other chat is answering (Notion, ChatGPT, Grok, Claude; Gemini waits), and a do-not-use list names an account or a single workspace with the reason.
  • FixedA Notion chat window keeps showing its own workspace's usage instead of jumping to another workspace on refresh.
  • FixedAn AkiMCP newer than the one on npm, or linked from its own folder, shows as a dev build with no Update button, so Update no longer puts an older version back.

A Start page and more built-in sites

  • NewStart page: whether a Chromium browser, Node.js 22 or later, AkiMCP and cloudflared are installed, with version, path and the exact install command, plus Install missing through Homebrew. A fresh start opens there when something needed is missing.
  • NewOne more AI site is built in, with a big card and a Dashboard column. No usage yet, and its sign-in display is not yet checked.
  • NewThree social sites are built in as Shortcuts; AIObox reads which account each one is signed in to. No usage.
  • NewNotion macro Join workspaces: paste any text holding invite links and the account joins each workspace in turn, with a joined, already a member or failed report. Running it again is safe.
  • NewReady to connect card on the AkiMCP page: public address, AkiMCP running, passphrase saved and Notion token, each with what to do when missing.
  • NewFor AI agents: an AI can open a new chat in its window and send a message to a Notion window, and each window says how its provider takes a message sent while it answers. The AI guide AkiMCP reads ships with the app.
  • NewUtilities: Migration shows every data move AIObox makes, with Migrate and Undo; Session restore brings back last session's windows from a banner on the Dashboard.
  • ImprovedWindow handles such as P1·W2 keep pointing at the same window after AIObox restarts.
  • ImprovedProfiles live in ~/.aki/cdp/profiles, the folder AkiMCP opens too; AIObox moves them there itself and keeps sign-ins.
  • ImprovedConnect AkiMCP uses the public address the running AkiMCP serves, whether a Cloudflare tunnel, Tailscale Funnel or PUBLIC_ORIGIN.
  • ImprovedBuilt-in descriptions say what each service is, and the Refresh spinner ends when that refresh is done. Grok tickets come from AIObox itself, so the browser extension box on the profile page is gone.
  • FixedOpening AIObox a second time brings the running one forward instead of starting another, and a second Launch click while Chrome starts no longer opens a second Chrome.
  • FixedA Notion window on a workspace without an icon no longer stays on finding workspace.
  • FixedA browser installed but never opened is found, instead of showing as Not installed.

Your own words for every provider

  • NewWrite your own description for any provider, up to 120 characters, shown under its name on the cards. Reset brings back the default.
  • NewProvider Settings list what AIObox does with that provider: hosts, session cookies, usage reading, macros and what its window panel offers.
  • ImprovedBuilt-in descriptions now say what AIObox does with each provider, such as Usage limits and AkiMCP connect for Claude.
  • ImprovedA new custom provider starts as a Shortcut and shows as a dashboard column until you hide it.
  • FixedA custom provider whose address redirects, such as m.me to messenger.com, opens and gets its panel and macros.
  • FixedShortcut sites keep their Shortcut display after you move or resize their window panel.

The AIObox Panel in every AI window

  • NewWindow handles: every window and tab gets a short name like P3·W2, shown in its title and copied with a click.
  • NewWindows pass data to each other by handle, and the panel opens a new window in the same profile.
  • NewClean up a profile, and pull or push sign-ins between AIObox and Chrome with a backup and Undo.
  • NewUsage colors: one ladder from calm to red, set in Settings and used by the dashboard and the panel.
  • NewThe dashboard dot turns green only while that profile has a window of that provider open, with ×N for several windows.
