AIObox

Terms

Terms of use

Plain terms for an app in beta. If something here is unclear, ask at hi@aiobox.app.

What do these terms cover?

The AIObox desktop app for Mac and Windows and the website at aiobox.app, both owned and managed by akitao.com.

Is the app finished?

No. AIObox is beta software, open only to AkiDev members, provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Features can change or break between versions, especially when a provider changes its website.

Whose rules apply to my AI accounts?

Yours and the provider's. AIObox opens Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Gemini, Notion and the other built-in sites in your own profiles; each account stays subject to that provider's plan, limits and terms, and you are responsible for following them. AIObox is not affiliated with Anthropic, OpenAI, xAI, Google, Meta, Notion, Cloudflare, Zalo or ByteDance.

What about macros and connectors?

Macros act in your accounts when you run them. Connect AkiMCP adds or removes connectors named AkiMCP as described in the docs. Review what a macro does before you run it on an account that matters.

What about my own AI acting through AkiMCP?

When you connect AkiMCP, the AI you use can read files and run commands on your computer within the rules you set there and, with AkiMCP 3.0 or later, drive the browser windows AIObox opens, including sending messages to your other AI chats. You decide what it may do and you are responsible for what it does in your accounts.

Does anything cost money?

Nothing is charged during the beta. After it, AIObox costs 1 Energy for every 10 minutes the app is open, counted per computer, paid from your Energy wallet. The app will ask you to sign in for this. Each 10 minutes is paid when it starts, and AIObox never charges more than your balance: when it reaches 0, AIObox pauses its own features at the end of the 10 minutes already paid, never closes your browser windows, charges nothing while paused and carries on when you top up. The website's Energy wallet does not accept live payments yet; prices shown there are for reference.

What is not allowed on the website?

Automated scraping, attempts to get around rate limits and anything that harms other users or the service.
